It all started IN DECEMBER 2017

What motivated you to start?
I could see I was gaining weight, I wasn’t happy with my physical appearance.

What were some of your goals when you started?
Lose weight, eat healthy, feel better.

What are your goals now?
Maintain. I really like where I am. I would like to build more muscle too.

What have been your greatest achievements?
I lost 40 lbs! 225 lbs February 2017– 185 lbs, currently.
I can now do multiple pull-ups without a band.

What were/are your biggest struggles?
Eating right. I definitely have a sweet tooth, and I love beer.

What advice would you give to new members?
Come as often as possible. Even if you can’t give 100% every time, just show up and do as much as you can. Also, diet is SUPER important. Eat a balanced diet with reasonably sized portions. Keep sugar and alcohol to a minimum.

What are your 3 favorite things about RLF?
I like how the workouts are all different.
I like the size of the class.
I like the people that work/workout here.


Meet: Candice

It all started IN June 2018

Although I don’t focus on the number on the scale, I still look at it everyday to see if I can identify healthy vs unhealthy habits.

I’m only down 8lbs but my body fat is decreasing & I’m losing inches. I’m pushing myself to lift more.

Real Life Fitness is my happy place.


Meet: Christos

It all started IN 2016

What motivated you to start?
I’ve worked out on and off for years, but as I got older (turning 50 this year), the effect of not working out had dramatic effects on me in a negative way.

What were some of your goals when you started?
I initially only wanted to get stronger and build stamina, help lower blood pressure and cholesterol, not really focused on actual weight.

What are your goals now?
Now I want to get to a consistent weight that supports lower blood pressure.

What have been your greatest achievements?
I’m at the same weight I was at 25 years old. I’m less than 10lbs away from my high school weight.

What were/are your biggest struggles?
My biggest struggle is food management.

What advice would you give to new members?
This is a marathon not a sprint, be consistent and don’t look for instant results. Start small and build up slowly.

What are your 3 favorite things about RLF?
The trainers are amazing! The variety of workouts keeps you well balanced and keeps you from getting bored.
